Descrizione
The sailing characteristics of the Tartan 34 C are defined by its versatile keel/centerboard configuration. This design allows for a relatively shallow draft of 3' 11" with the board up, making it an ideal choice for the thin waters of the Chesapeake or the Great Lakes, while extending to 8' 4" with the board down for superior upwind tracking. According to historical design notes from Sparkman & Stephens, the hull was engineered to provide a balanced helm even as the breeze freshens.
