“Frida”, completely restored in 2022/23 a vintage wooden boat with a larch hull, oak frames and beams in treated mahogany with west system dated 1947, 8 meters long, designed by Knud Reimers Koster when he received the order from the Swedish Navy to design an 8-meter hull, to allow the representative crew of Sweden to participate in European military regattas, built by the Ahus shipyard. Interior description two long benches with cushions. Exterior description oak mast and deck with marconi sail from 2023, 4 winches for adjustments. Yanmar 8 hp engine removed and overhauled. A boat of great charm, with a dedicated book Frida 1947 “the route of the vikings” The couple of authors, passionate sailors, “discovered” and purchased it in Finland and brought it by sea to Italy, following the so-called “Viking Route”. Interesting the route chosen by the two skippers: starting from Porvoo, they sailed along the Gota Canal that crosses the Swedish state from east to west, reappearing in Goteborg; they then touched Oslo and Texel (Netherlands), to reach Le Havre. From here all river navigation, passing through Paris and emerging in Marseille, to then arrive in Sarzana (SP). The logbook of this unique adventure describes this adventurous journey, characterized by adverse weather conditions, but always supported by the love and passion for the sea of the two protagonists.
