We bought our boat May 2007 2006 Hurricane Fundeck GS 202, 2005 Mercruiser 5.0 MPI 270 hp with 40 hours total time on it from Parkshore Marine, Cassopolis MI and have owned it since, 558 hours today on the hourly meter. One of the first 2006 boats built with a 2005 engine during change over year. We are the first real users of the boat. It has been a quality boat to own; we transitioned to a triton pontoon boat this summer and are selling our deck boat. If you are looking for a deck boat, I encourage you to look hard at our boat, as it has a lot of good life left in it. Major maintenance items have been performed over the last two years. Godfrey Hurricane makes a quality deck boat. The boat was on the water all last summer ran great. We have tubed, learn to ski, great boat to load up and have fun with the entire family. Top speed on our lake trimmed out is just a little over 50 mph, fuel injected engine makes for nice slow cruising as well.
2006 Easyloader galvanized steel tandem axle single brake (surge) boat trailer is included with this price. Trailer has been stored with our boat indoors, very low miles total on the trailer, only our use from Howard Lake to Schoolcraft storage (less than 5 miles) the trip to town to see dealership service, original tires, we purchased in 2008, I would think 1200 – 2000 miles total or less, over the last 17 years of our use.
2018 200+- hrs back, we performed major tune up items with the winterization oil change program at that time. 2023 50+- hrs back at the dealership all the bellows: ujoint, exhaust, cable shift kit. Impellor replaced, lower unit overhauled, both u joints (original) were removed and replaced, Gimbal bearing kit seal removed replace (original) preventive, starter replaced preventative, tirm switch sender replaced (original), all engine water hoses were inspected for cracking, all in good shape. Boat City Marine, Kalamazoo, MI. I did some additional work in 2023 with the bellows overhaul to keep things strong for the boat age wise.Aug 2025 Fuel pump, fuel pump relay, oil, oil filter, fuel water filter changed. Leaders RPM Marine, mercruiser dealer Kalamazoo. Everything runs out and works really nice, we were on the water with it Aug 22 the depth finder is reading intermittently, not unusual, I believe the probe needs some cleaning. Invoices will be included to back all of these items above up. The engine uses little oil if any, we never have to add oil between oil changes, it always stays in the safe oil range on the oil dipstick. We change the oil every other season, approximately 50 hrs or less of our use. Mercrusier engine recommended lubricants have always been used, the synthetic oils have protected us well. I truly believe the boat is great shape for its age, and it should give someone plenty of good use for the next several years. BioKleen interior cleaners used over the years, great local product. It has been a great boat for the entire family to tube, ski behind. We never let the boat sit parked in the water, it’s always on a boat lift. We rent an rv storage bay and keep the boat trailer inside Sept – May religiously since buying it in 2007. Original boat cover still used and repaired by Sun Shade, Three Rivers over the years. Sun and Shade has kept our covers, rear swim platform cushion was replaced a few years back, all the interior cushions are pretty good for the age of the boat, still shows well, stored indoors during the Oct through May months since we bought it. The backing on the original carpet is suffering some, top side still looks good. No damage history other than light occasional rubs with the boat lifts on the very windy days, years of this activity still show and probably could be buffed out some along with the decals. Bimini top boot was replaced by Sun and Shade, boot only. Boat City Marine, Hurricane dealership here in Kalamazoo has performed our maintenance work over the years. I will include the last 2 major service visits w/invoices we accomplished with Boat City. Fuel pump was replaced by Leaders RPM marine Mercruiser dealer Aug 2025, invoice will be included. We upgraded to a triton pontoon in July 25 with Leaders RPM marine, Thank you.
