Uk tax paid,A beautiful yacht ready to go, at the moment she's on the river at wareham The Hunter Legend 38 was voted cruising yacht of the year on her launch and it is easy to see why. She has class leading accommodation throughout sleeping six is great comfort. She is a stable ,safe, easily sailed cruising yacht and being a bilge keeler can explore the shallowest of cruising grounds as well as being able to take the ground.Milly May is superbly well equipped for comfortable cruising , she has a Webasto heating system covering all areas of the yacht. There is a hot and cold pressurized water system in the heads, galley and on the transom. The galley has a large fridge freezer , oven, grill with three burners and plenty of dry storage. The cockpit can be fully enclosed for extra room. The saloon is spacious with very generous headroom which adds to the light and airey feeling. She is the owners version giving her a very large aft cabin with a full sized double berth and access to the heads and shower room.She is set up for single or short handed sailing, she has in-mast main reefing and ,a genoa furling system. All lines lead aft to the cockpit. This Hunter Legend 38 has a full suite of navigation equipped including a Raymarine autohelm. Her engine has been very well maintained and is the 40hp Yanmar ,which is an important upgrade on the usual 29hp engine many have installed.This is a great sailing yacht with fantastic accommodation which will keep the most demanding crew happy.

“Glisser” has been in my ownership for 3 years. During that time, she has been modernised to current safety standards with major components replaced or fully serviced. Prior to that she was in the ownership of one family for 25 years. A new Bukh DV24 engine was fitted in 2012 with low milage since. Standing and Running rigging replaced in 2023. Electrics replaced in 2024. Lifting keel serviced with new hinge pin 2024. Upholstery and foam replaced in 2023. Her headlining was completely replaced in 2012 by an ex westerly upholsterer. The original gelcoat is in very good condition for the age of the vessel, indeed the hull polishes to a nice shine. The woodwork both inside and out is in very good shape also. She was laid up in Wilson’s yard I when I acquired her and the work was done by well-known professionals from the Chichester area. I relocated her to Laby Bee Marina in Shoreham where she has been berthed since 2024. She is a great boat with the versatility of a lifting keel allowing exploration of shallow waters and affordable moorings with the performance of a fin keel. Of Note: Lifting keel, only 1 of 6 made by Westerly. 1.0m to 1.8m draft. In one family’s ownership for 25 years and only 3 previous owners including me Well maintained throughout her life and recently modernised to comply with UK safety standard. All significant work carried out to high standard by professionals local to Hayling island.
