Slingshot is one of the most successful J/105s around with a huge list of honours both sailing double handed and fullycrewed. RORC Yacht of the Year in 2006, 2008 RORC Double handed series and 4th overall against all the IRC fully crewed boats. Overall winner Yachting Monthly Torbay Triangle Race in 2012. She has raced successfully at Ramsgate.

Deck & Canvas:
The hull and deck are of GRP moulded sandwich construction. Baltek end-grained balsa laminate construction using pre-impregnated and vacuum-bagged biaxial glass fabrics. White gelcoat hull white/grey two tone deck. Large sit-in cockpit. Swimming and boarding platform. Cockpit coamings over side decks to channel water aft. Instrument recesses moulded in aft face of the coach roof on either side of companionway entrance. ORC 1.25 extruded toe rail on foredeck. Stainless steel railing on coach roof. GRP moulded main structural bulkhead, bonded fore and aft on hull and deck as support for chainplates. Solid fibreglass transverse keel support beams. Fabricated aluminium mast step with transverse beams fastened to main bulkhead. Lead and antimony fixed keel with bulb bolted to a deep moulded stub. Sparcraft fractional mast with double airfoil spreaders and boom clear anodised. Mast new (2014). Harken furler unit MKIV (2014). Navtec hydraulic backstay tensioner. Solid vang rod kicker. Simrad Go7 chartplotter (2015) colour chartplotter mounted on the cockpit side of aft coachroof. Raymarine ST60 log, speed, depth and wind instruments with 3 displays. Nexus server with one multi controller display, 3 x XL mast mounted displays on carbon custom brackets and wind transducer. ICOM IC- M23 VHF radio with Hawk antenna and cockpit speaker. Raymarine 1 AG linear drive autopilot 2007. Navtex 6 plus. Furuno GPS Navigator. Digital Yacht AIS 1000 Class B Transponder, interfaced to chartplotter. (2011).
