HULL NUMBER - Oyster 66/05.
HULL CONSTRUCTION - Laid-up GRP, single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyd’s approved design specification. Produced using a Lloyd’s approved gelcoat and laminating resin. The gelcoat and three outer laminates incorporate powder-bound matts. Isophthalic resin is used to the hull, tanks, coachroof and deck lay-ups.
HULL FINISH - Hull in ‘Light Grey’ gelcoat with cove line and double boot top lines in ‘Dark Grey.’ Bottom repainted (2019), Micron 66/Propspeed.
DECK CONSTRUCTION - Moulded in GRP with balsa core. Oyster deck saloon profile with ‘eyebrow’ styling.
DECK FINISH - Teak laid decks (raised foredeck and lazarette hatch teak needs replacement). Bulwark finished with teak capping rail.
KEEL - High performance bulb (HPB) external lead keel.
RUDDER - Fully protected skeg-hung rudder.
STERN DESIGN - ‘Sugar scoop’ stern design with bathing platform trimmed with teak slats and stainless steel steps for access to the stern deck.

DECK LAYOUT and EQUIPMENT
ANCHOR - 48kg (105lb) CQR anchor with 110m (360’) of 12mm (1/2”) chain. New anchor chain in Auckland (2018) - 100m (328’) length/12mm (1/2”) galvanized. 27kg (60lb) Danforth kedge anchor with 100m (328’) Octoplait warp, and 15m (49’) of 12mm (1/2”) chain. Fortress FX125 anchor. Anchor stowage in sail locker. Stowage compartment with removable partition at forward end of anchor locker for kedge warp and chain.
WINDLASS - Lewmar 3000 vertical gypsy/capstan type electric anchor windlass. Removed, fully serviced, and remounted in Antigua (2019). Two-way and operated by adjacent foot switch controls at bow. Additional controls at pedestal.
DECK ACCESS - Midship gateway stanchions with stainless steel hinged boarding ladders, which close up to form the side-gates. Gate to pushpit. Fold down stainless steel bathing/boarding ladder. 3m (9’10”) alloy passerelle with halyard, clutch, spreader bar, and guy lines.
HATCHES - Oyster custom vertical, drop-down washboard system for main companionway. Aft companionway hatch fitted with acrylic sliding lid. Lewmar alloy-framed deck hatches. Gebo alloy-framed coaming portlights. Gebo alloy-framed opening hullports. Rondal deck prisms in passageway and aft owner’s shower.
CANVASWORK - Large ‘Grey’ acrylic fold down companionway sprayhood with leather covered stainless steel grab rail to aft end. Bimini in ‘Grey’ acrylic, with shortened bimini over helm station when large bimini not in use. Canvas cover for cockpit table in ‘Grey’ acrylic with lift-up flap to access icebox. ‘Grey’ acrylic canvas covers for pedestals and steering wheels. Cockpit cushions.
DECK PLUMBING - Hot and cold freshwater deck shower in transom locker. Anchor/deck wash.
COCKPIT - Walk-through teak-laid cockpit. Split into separate crew and guest areas, both cockpits have a clear central walkway aft, giving access from the companionway to the helm positions or aft deck. The guest cockpit is self-draining, whilst the helm position will drain out both aft and forward. Pair of waterproof loudspeakers mounted within the coamings either side of the guest cockpit. Two lockers under each side seat fitted with a hinged lid to provide excellent cockpit storage space. The helmsman’s cockpit has twin custom GRP steering pedestals. Drinks holder on each steering pedestal.
COCKPIT TABLE - Gloss varnished teak cockpit table with stainless steel frame, folding leaves, and refrigerated GRP box.
STEERING - Twin custom GRP steering pedestals, each incorporating a 0.90m (36”) diameter Destroyer type stainless steel steering wheel, friction brake, and three bearing pedestal steering unit. Leather covers to steering wheels.
OUTBOARD BRACKET - Outboard bracket suitable for up to 15hp outboard motor.
DAVITS - Whittall manual davits (300kg/661lb maximum total load).

SAILS - Furling mainsail - Doyle Stratis cruising laminate (Auckland 2018). Furling yankee with UV strip and foam luff by North Sails (2018). Furling self-tacking staysail - North Sails cruising woven laminate (Cape Town 2018). Quantum 1.5oz asymmetrical spinnaker with squeezer.
GENERAL - Ten berths in five cabins, excluding the saloon. All berths, including doubles are counted as sea berths, and doubles have split mattresses allowing a central lee cloth to provide necessary support and separation. Sea berths have fitted Dacron lee screens with lanyards to through-bolted eyes. Interior joinery finished in teak with Oyster ‘Millennium’ style detailing. Designed to be modern and coordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grab rails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels, solid, shaped teak and stainless steel grab handles, and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers. All drawers use metal runners giving extremely smooth operation. Solid framed doors with inlaid border. Door furniture by Timage with chrome hinges and handles. ‘Chequerboard’ style teak cabin sole with ‘Black’ Avonite perimeter line inlay. Galley work surfaces and upstands in ‘Aztec Brown’ Avonite. Each head compartment is fitted out with a Tapmate white enamel washbasin, under-mounted to a ‘Venetian White’ Avonite surface, and finished in a joinered timber and mica laminate. Quality mixer taps/faucets with matching pressure-balanced shower hardware. Matching towel rail, pair of toothbrush holders, soap dish, and toilet roll holder fitted in each head. FORWARD SAIL LOCKER - Forward sail locker accessed via its own deck hatch with Lewmar lock. Steps fitted in sail locker.
FORWARD (SHARED) HEAD/SHOWER - Shared forward head with Jabsco electric toilet, washbasin and shower. Lockers for wash bag, cleaning materials and linen stowage. Mirror.
PORT FORWARD TWIN CABIN - Twin cabin to port with upper and lower bunk berths. Cedar lined hanging locker. Access to forward head.
STARBOARD FORWARD DOUBLE CABIN - To starboard with double berth and cedar lined hanging locker. Extra chart stowage under bunk.
GALLEY - To port, opposite the mast, the spacious galley has extensive worktop space, plentiful storage lockers and large rubbish bin. Stowage for crockery and cutlery.
SINKS - Twin stainless steel sinks.
COOKER/HOB - Gimballed Force 10 stainless steel cooker with 4-burners, grill and oven, protected by a flame failure gas cut-off device. Extractor fan fitted over cooker. Cooker incorporates an electronic ignition system for all functions. Harbour lock and cooker crash bar.
REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER - Front opening refrigerator with shelves and automatic light, plus top-loading freezer box with stowage baskets. Glacier Bay refrigeration system, panel and doors. Compressor and pumps replaced in Fiji (2018).
LOWER SALOON/SEATING AREA - To starboard of mast with two chairs and a desk, plus locker in between. Glass and bottle stowage locker. Bookcase. Stereo unit. Oilskin locker. Ice maker.
WASHER/DRYER - Bosch WVF2401 washer/dryer.
ENGINE ROOM - Accessed from the lower level, near the galley and built of sound insulating foam and barrier insulation. Access panels in the high level saloon sole are fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimise noise and secured by positive catches. 24V lighting and a large 24V extractor fan installed and switched at the DC electrical panel.
HIGH LEVEL SALOON - Access to the high level saloon from the cockpit is via a set of teak steps with teak and stainless steel handrails. The deck saloon is extremely light and airy, with seven windows providing an almost panoramic view of the exterior, which contributes to the great feeling of light and space. Featuring a wraparound settee to port, upholstered in ‘Cream’ leather, surrounding a rectangular, expandable oak burr table to provide a large comfortable dining area. Drawer and cupboard in table pedestal base. Additional seating to starboard. Lockers behind seat backs. TV in custom locker.
NAVIGATION AREA - A comfortable forward facing navigation/chart table area located to starboard in the upper area. The chart table is customised around the strategically-sited electronics and navigational equipment, which is flush mounted in a dark grey fascia. A small stainless steel support stay is fitted to the chart table lid. Provision for stowage of half-folded Admiralty size charts in large drawer beneath. Stainless steel bookshelf at forward end of chart table.
PORT AFT DOUBLE GUEST CABIN - With double berth and drawers beneath. Cedar lined hanging locker and small vanity unit. Access to en suite (shared) head/shower compartment.
EN SUITE AND SHARED HEAD/SHOWER - Situated to port and shared with the starboard aft cabin via a separate access door from the aft passageway. VacuFlush electric toilet, washbasin, and separate shower stall. Lockers for wash bag, cleaning materials and linen stowage. Mirror. Hooks for hanging wet weather gear.
STARBOARD AFT TWIN CABIN - With lower berth and stowable upper Pullman berth. Desk, computer and printer storage, file drawer and full-height locker with two doors and shelves.
OWNER’S STATEROOM - Configured with a double berth offset from centreline. Settee. Pair of large cedar-lined hanging lockers, with 3-brick safe. Abundant drawer and locker space. Mirror. Access to aft en suite head/shower compartment located forward to starboard. Central door leads to passageway running forward beneath cockpit. Separate companionway hatch to aft deck via a sliding hatch, and stainless steel ladder offset to starboard.
EN SUITE HEAD/SHOWER - To starboard with separate large shower stall. VacuFlush electric toilet and washbasin. Lockers for wash bag, cleaning materials and linen stowage. Mirror. Hooks for hanging wet weather gear. Extractor fan.
AUDIO VISUAL SYSTEMS - Pioneer DEH 4100R and CDX P25 CD auto-changer for six CDs. Speakers to cockpit and aft end of main saloon, plus two additional speakers to galley and lower saloon. Volume controls by companionway allowing cockpit speakers to be controlled independently of saloon speakers. Remote control to stereo. 53cm (21”) multi-standard television and video in custom saloon locker. Radio/cassette player and speakers to aft cabin.
ENGINE - Perkins M225Ti turbo-charged diesel engine of 168kW (225hp) at 2500rpm. Hurth 630 gearbox giving 2:1 reduction. Racor twin fuel filter and water separator.

WATERMAKER - Seafresh H204A watermaker producing approximately 180 litres (36 Imp gallons/48 US gallons) per hour. PUR 21V watermaker, as backup.
TANKAGE and PLUMBING
FUEL - 2,020 litres approximately (444 Imp gallons/534 US gallons) in three GRP tanks.
