Descrizione

With the the HR 39 series being yet another very successful center-cockpit German Frers design, the "MANITOU" is the 208th example produced (out of total of 219 built) by the renowned HALLBERG-RASSY MARINE of Sweden and as an improved 2003 model "Mark II" edition. The HR 39 Mk II was also produced to the CE Category "A", "Unlimited Ocean Voyaging" as were all versions of her HR 39 predecessors,

The HR 39 Mk II "MANITOU" has most definitely benefited from all her previous years of being a lightly-used "short-Season fresh-water" boat and being Winter-stored indoors as well. Her interior & exterior, to include all systems & the teak decks, are just in superb condition as one would expect. She was only just introduced to salt-water and under new Ownership in 2014!

Since her recent acquisition in the late Summer of 2014, the "MANITOU" has had significant improvements and upgrades implemented to complement her outstanding overall condition. Starting with a "full bottom job" last in the Fall of 2014, her complement of communication and navigation & performance electronics and the autopilot has all been updated with the most current ICOM and FURUNO units, The "MANITOU" also has had her sails, running rigging & all the yachts' systems brought up-to-date re maintenance, replacement or improvement.

As ably demonstrated by the performance and features of the HR 39, the "MANITOU" is being offered for brokerage sale now due to the Owners' desire to acquire a larger HALLBERG-RASSY for more extended cruising with Family & friends. The "MANITOU" represents a unique opportunity to acquire the desirable HR 39 Mk II version that is in both the condition and equipage configuration that is "second to none" and with all the benefits of that a knowledgeable and experienced Owner can provide.

The MANITOU is at her slip  in Norwalk CT for the 2017 Season. She's ready to go to all destinations, North or South! Clients looking such an exceptional yacht should make an appointment to inspect this "rare to the market" opportunity as represented by the MANITOU.

Manufacturer-Provided Description (overview)

The hull and deck of the HR 39 are built under constant supervision of the Lloyd's Register of Shipping, and a Lloyd's Certificate is supplied with each boat. Hull and deck are from GRP by the hand-lay-up method, insulated above water. Decks and coachroof areas are of sandwich type construction. The large cockpit is well-protected by a windscreen made of tempered glass and a sprayhood. The middle section of the windscreen opens. In the stern is an integrated bathing platform with folding ladder. The interior is finished in mahogany with a matte silk varnish. Berth and seats are covered in superb Dralon material to withstand wear and tear and possible staining and dampness. Due to the well-planned layout, there is always unobstructed passage from forward to aft cabin. Aft cabin and also the toilet compartment are secluded even if doors remain open. Being closely located together, the navigation area, engine room and instrument panels form a natural unit. Ample stowage in all areas of boat.
